Using Balloons throughout your wedding! ๐ŸŽˆ

Balloons have always been a sign of celebration: birthday parties, baby’s arrival, dances, and anywhere else there was utter happiness! But the balloons that we grew up with are not the balloons we are talking about today. Because baby, balloons are now a major contender in the world of wedding dรฉcor. From HUGE balloons that put our little birthday bundles to shame to full-on balloon installationsย (a popular term in the art world for large art displays), the balloon game is strong and here to stay. And all we can say is yes, yes, yes! ๐ŸŽˆ

The best part is that balloons can make such an enormous impact at a fraction of the price of other options. And no matter what month your wedding date falls in, balloon colors never go out of season! Creating a show-stopping focal point is within reach when you opt for balloon installations! Just check out the unique ways these couples used balloons in their wedding:

AISLE MARKERS

What a fun way to line your aisle at your ceremony! It definitely sets the tone for what is sure to be a very festive wedding! They did such a great job keeping everything neutral so these could really pop! Love it! ๐ŸŽŠ

BALLOON WALL

We love a good balloon wallโ€”especially when it incorporates all different sizes of balloons. It adds so much dimension to the monochromatic look that is created by sticking to just one shade. ๐Ÿ’•

RAINBOW INSTALLATION

Some people are not color people. But clearly, this bride is! And I love it so much. Side note, when I was in college, my friend told me that my closet looked like a box of crayons threw up. That happened. And I’m still friends with that mean girl today! Also, she’s not a mean girl at all but one of my faves. In fact, I even named some of my champagne flutes in my store after her! But I also love this because I am a HUGE supporter of the LGBTQ community because as I say often, love is love is love. ๐ŸŒˆ

PHOTO PROP

I love everything about this picture. For a girl that likes color as much as I do, that says a lot. The simplicity is amazing. If you are considering using balloons for props in your photos, consider this for sure! ๐ŸŽˆ

GETAWAY CAR

You know I love a good getaway car! This looks so great with this vintage car, and I love how they still incorporated the aluminum cans too! In my opinion, the bigger the better with these balloons! If you’re gonna make a statement, then go ahead and make a STATEMENT! ๐Ÿš—

TABLE RUNNER

This one might be my favorite of the bunch. Such a creative way to swap out what could be an incredibly expensive floral runner with some balloons and greenery. ๐Ÿ‡

FLOWER GIRL “BOUQUETS”

First of all, look at the second little girl’s face ! I can’t. These darlings are SO cute! But the balloons with streamers take it all to the next level. One million percent I would do this if I had to get married again (but I won’t because I really like my hubby ๐Ÿ˜‰)! ๐Ÿ‘ญ

I know, this blog is about the balloons, but…his face bursting with happiness? Dying. Also, these balloons at the entrance of their reception? Talk about welcoming your guests to the party? Absolutely perfect. ๐ŸŽ‰

dessert table dรฉcor

If this isn’t the most dainty dessert table ever, then I don’t know what is! So sweet. Also, donuts. You know my obsession with them. So this one wins just by the donut default! ๐Ÿฉ But seriously though, the eucalyptus mixed in with the balloons adds the perfect touch of color. ๐Ÿง

Focal point on steroids you guys! I kind of feel bad that know one is going to notice this couple’s first dance because they are all staring at that majestic balloon chandelier. Step back and re-read that: balloon. chandelier. Who thinks of these things? I love the brilliant minds in the wedding industry! ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป

Whether you go simple like this backyard wedding backdrop or over-the-top with an entire wall of balloons for your backdrop, we love how this lets everyone knowโ€”hey everyone…eyes up here! ๐Ÿ‘ฐ๐Ÿป

wedding centerpieces

Again, what a perfect way to swap out what could be an expensive floral centerpiece for something more simple and less expensive. And..they are up high, so you can actually have a conversation across the table! Genius! ๐Ÿช‘

canopy

This floral canopy over your table is another great alternative to centerpieces. A canopy has a unique way of making a space feel more intimate, especially in this barn setting where the roof is probably soaring. Keeping the colors neutral here continue the bucolic feel of the reception! ๐Ÿค

So, if I haven’t convinced you to use balloons in your wedding at this point, then you crazy! Love that this trend looks like it’s going to stick around for a while! Keep tagging us on Instagram with all your wedding balloon pics at @grandrapidsbride
