Larry and I’s wedding was nothing short of the “fairytale dream wedding” I had been planning in my head since I was a little girl. Marrying the man I had always prayed for to share this special day with was literally a dream come true for me. Most of the day had been over cast weather. With the wedding being outside, I was keeping my fingers crossed that the rain would hold off. Thankfully, it did. The sun came out from behind the clouds right when the ceremony began. From beautiful weather, elegant florals, and being with all the people Larry and I love most, September 28th of 2019 will be a day I will cherish and hold close to my heart forever.
My absolute favorite moment of Larry and I’s wedding day was the moment I took those first steps down the beautiful, rose petal covered isle to the man I was about to call my husband. The sun had just peeked its rays out from behind the clouds, “Dreaming of you” by Selena played perfectly on the speakers, our family standing there together joined as one, and my dream man standing full front and center with a smile on his face waiting patiently for me as I walked down that isle. I will never forget how happy my heart was in those moments.
My wedding planning advice for current brides-to-be is to hire a wedding planner. I have always loved planning events such as parties for my son, baby showers, and loving all of the fun DIY’s that comes along with it all. However, planning my own wedding was a whole different ball game that I most definitely would have loved having a wedding planner by my side for.
Day-of-wedding advice I have for current brides-to-be is that even if everything doesn’t go to plan on your wedding day as you would of liked, at the end of the day those little things that didn’t go 100% as planned make your special that much more special. Every wedding is unique and memorable, and those little hiccups on the wedding day will play a small part in the million moments of what makes your special day special. I promise.
There is nothing I would change about our wedding day. Celebrating Larry and I’s love with the people that mean most to us will be a day I keep close to my heart forever!
