The Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan has served generations of girls and their families for over 100 years. And as their mission of “building the courage, confidence and character of girls” has evolved, the organization has opened their doors to couples as they plan one of the most important days of their life.
The Kalamazoo Regional Center is one of 4 beloved venues offered by the Girl Scouts in Michigan. Just 2 miles from downtown Kalamazoo, The Regional Center offers exquisite indoor and outdoor spaces that couples are invited to make their own for their special day. The industrial design, high ceilings and windows offer perfect views to the lush environment outside the venue as well. It is hard to not fall in love with this space and the careful attention to detail that is found in every corner.
A Venue with a Mission
From initial stages of development, The Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan invited girls to help make important decisions regarding design and vendor approval for weddings.
“The space was and always will be designed for girls and girl lead”, shares Brenna Smith, Chief Communications & Experience Officer. Brenna, who actually held her own wedding at the venue, continues by addressing,“ This place is so meaningful to generations of girls and women. Girl scouting is a part of who you are and this venue is happy to emulate their mission for your special day.”
With a mission deeply rooted in love and service, all rental proceeds are directly used to maintain the property and help local girls experience the great outdoors for generations to come.

Both Brenna and co-worker Trina Coulter bring an abundance of tips and care from recent experiences planning their own weddings. As recent brides, they can empathize with the attention to detail in planning such a special day and are happy to hold your hand through a beautiful memory.
With an abundance of picture perfect ceremony and reception options, Trina expresses that, “Couples are encouraged to tailor the space to their own style. The venue is a blank canvas for your dreams”.
