Just like it says above, it’s ironic that blue is the color of the year. I mean, can you think of a year where you felt more blue? Dumb COVID. But seriously, how did blue get such a bad rap? Here’s a little fact about me: blue is my favorite color. All blue. Navy blue, Baby blue, Tiffany Blue. My bedroom is painted blue. My husband’s eyes are the BEST blue 💙. And I have two boys – so we are blue-centric house!
It’s interesting that you don’t see a lot of blue weddings; which is ironic because blue is the only color that is a required element of a wedding…something blue, right? “Something blue” was considered another way to ward off the Evil Eye of any past suitors who might wish the bride ill, as the color supposedly confused said Eye. But on a more positive note…blue represents love and fidelity.
